Issues and publication schedule
The journal publishes according to a declared schedule and maintains consistency.
SGST has not yet published its first issue. Rather than fill this page with placeholder articles, it states where the journal stands: Volume 1, Issue 1 is in preparation for 2027, and the recommended initial frequency is quarterly.

Publication schedule
Declared in advance and applied consistently
The recommended initial frequency is quarterly, with the possibility of increasing publication frequency as submission volume and editorial capacity develop. Any change to frequency will be announced on this page in advance rather than applied silently.
There is no submission deadline. Manuscripts are accepted continuously and assigned to the next available issue once accepted and produced.
If an issue cannot be published on schedule, the editorial office will publish a dated notice here explaining why and giving a revised date. Consistency of schedule is part of what indexing services assess, and part of what authors are entitled to rely on.

Special issues
Same editorial and peer-review standards as regular issues
Special issues may be organised around clearly defined themes and must meet the same editorial and peer-review standards as regular issues. A special issue is not a lower bar, a faster route, or a way to publish work that would not otherwise be accepted.
Guest editors must declare conflicts of interest and must not compromise peer-review integrity. Manuscripts submitted by guest editors, or by members of the organising team, are handled independently of that team so that no one assesses their own work or a colleague’s under their supervision.
Proposals for a special issue should be sent to the editorial office and should set out the theme, its fit with the journal’s scope, the proposed guest editors with their affiliations and expertise, and the expected timetable.

Articles, current issue and archives
No articles have been published. When the first issue appears, this page becomes the archive: every article listed with its authors, dates, abstract, identifier and full text, retained permanently.
Articles will receive persistent identifiers where feasible, and metadata will be preserved independently of this website, so that a citation continues to resolve even if the site itself changes or moves. See archiving and preservation.
Post-publication content — letters, comments, responses, corrections and expressions of concern — will be listed alongside the articles they concern and linked in both directions.

Before the first issue

Volume 1 is open. Read the guide for authors, work through the submission checklist, and send your manuscript through the editorial office.
Review for the journal
The reviewer panel is being built ahead of the first issue. Write to the editorial office with your expertise and ORCID identifier.
Propose a special issue
Themed collections are welcome from Volume 1 onwards, subject to the standards set out above.

Ask the editorial office to add you to the launch notification list. The list is used for that purpose alone and for nothing else.
